Hi! My name is Max and you just found Identitecture. On this blog, I aim to highlight some of my favorite stories relating to architecture, art, and society.
Throughout my life, I have been endlessly fascinated with the art of architecture. While pursuing two separate degrees, first in structural engineering and later in architecture proper I was fortunate enough to gain experience in different disciplines related to construction and design. Whether it was boots on the ground, working on construction sites, sharpening my skills in multiple engineering and architecture offices, or traveling the world writing essays and learning about how different cultures approach the art of building, I am constantly developing my own architectural philosophies.
Since, at any given time, I am either working or studying – or both – and because I want to give myself the chance to learn as much as possible about a given topic, it currently takes me at least a year to write an essay. In the future, I want to publish shorter pieces in between my long-form essays as well as share my own portfolio.
